for bona-fide Learners attending beginners / improvers classes
- Different Classes may combine to form a heat. Teachers are asked to indicate players who are genuine Novices – who have been learning for less than a year.
- Since the same boards will be played, a Learner may participate once only.
(We trust you not to pass on any information that might be useful to your friends....)
- There will be set hands and a commentary booklet to be distributed at the end of play
(The Organiser/Teacher will make the boards up in advance)
- Each Novice Pair must play at least 10 of the boards – others at least 12 – to be eligible for major prizes
- Maureen Rennie is running a heat on 23rd March in the ABC at 2pm., playing at least 12 boards so that everyone is eligible for prizes. All beginners are very welcome. Contact Maureen if you'd like to play.
